We are extremely sad to have to announce the death of Sir Frank Williams. He was a giant, not just of Formula One, but of the whole world of motor racing.
His journey from his early days as a hand-to-mouth team owner to a colossus of our sport took guts, determination and huge talent. His injuries after his road car accident in 1986 would have floored a lesser man but Sir Frank just kept on going, becoming the longest-living quadriplegic in the world.
The world is a poorer place today.
